Dreams of traveling to every corner of the world

Ask me anything

Nice, France

Someone showed me a website recently regarding things you learn about yourself while traveling solo.

1. You are more resourceful than you thought.

6. Solo travel allows you to embrace spontaneity.

7. Solo travel can help you be the most independent and confident version of yourself.

One day, when i’m brave again/in the right mood, I’d wanna travel solo one more time. This time, it’ll be more than just two and a half days

I’ve been watching this video at least 5 times a day (on the train, before i study, before i sleep, when i wake up, after lunch, before dinner….) for the past week, feels very apt.

And blake shelton’s so charming!

Notre Dame, Paris

Climbed up 400+ steps just to take a shot of the Gargola, which appears in so many postcards! I love the bird’s eye view of Paris (including Sacre-Coeur, Eiffel.. & I must try the Montparnasse tower one day) because it’s so fun to spot landmarks it’s like a game.. And Paris from the top looks so good both at night and in the day, i can’t decide which i like better still :)

Louvre, Paris

Been to the louvre at night twice, love how the sunset makes the sky all pink and pretty, and right after that the sky becomes a perfect shade of blue.. This is my fav spot to take a photo from.. the arc d’carrousel in the far end, pinkish sky, louvre looking magnificent and all, and a moon to top it off :)

The second time i went, we managed to see the eiffel sparkle from where we were standing too.. ah so magical :) Paris at night is so beautiful

Charissa, if you’re seeing this, i miss u! xx

Places i want to visit before i die

Greece for my honeymoon

Egypt or the Sahara Desert to ride camels and camp overnight

See the northern lights

Maldives.. and maybe Hawaii again to snorkel

Come back to Paris again a few years later

Visit more of the other parts of France (sadly i haven’t done much of this despite being in france for 3 months now)

Japan to ski again with the love of my life

Taiwan.. taipei again and the other parts too

Canada

Ireland for a road trip

Grand canyon again, this time do a hike down

New zealand to take a hot air balloon

India

(so that i’ll remember :D )

Versailles, Paris

The gardens in Versailles were so majestic we couldnt finish walking them. Sat down and fed swans instead and i lured two swans to form a heart using a piece of bread.. We’re going to Versailles again this weekend & i hope this time the trees will be less bare and there’ll be flowers

Strasbourg, France

I was captivated by the beauty of Strasbourg. We cycled, walked, took the river boat. Went to the Alsacien museum which had floorboards that creaked when we stepped on them, and tiny doors leading from one room to another. Climbed up the Notre Dame and ironically, I prefer the pictures that I took on the climb up when I stuck my camera through the tiny openings, than those taken from the very top. It was a good sis-bro trip

Strasbourg, France

“A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving.”

Sapporo, Japan

Sapporo is the perfect getaway spot. Snow, ski, serenity, sushi, sashimi, snowflakes.. and a japanese-styled hotel :)

Keukenhof is one of my fav places on earth,

Spent an afternoon there, around 4-5 hours, looking at the endless rows of beautiful tulips & now I think i’m in love with tulips; they might even be my fav type of flowers. Would have loved to spend a longer time there, maybe picnicking or taking the boat, but i guess this just gives me another reason to visit Keukenhof again at some point in my future :)
